Taste for Good: An International Culinary Fundraiser to Benefit AsylumWorks

Friday, May 29, 2026 | 6:30-8:30 PM | River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 6301 River Road, Bethesda, MD 20817

AsylumWorks invites you to an evening where clients take the stage as chefs — preparing beloved comfort foods from their home countries for guests to taste, share, and celebrate. Hosted by award-winning broadcaster Ari Shapiro, the night features a silent auction, a special fundraising moment, and the most delicious food you’ll find at any fundraiser this year.

What to Expect

  • Taste 16+ home-cooked dishes from around the globe
  • Meet the clients whose stories and dishes will inspire you
  • Bid on special auction items, including a 4-night getaway in the Bahamas
  • Raise your paddle and make a direct impact for newcomer families
