Nassym is a Forensic Social Worker and Licensed Master of Social Work with over eight years of experience advocating for children, families, and unaccompanied immigrant youth in family court proceedings. Nassym has extensive experience navigating New York City’s child welfare system and achieving permanency for her clients through adoption, reunification, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and alternative means. Nassym relocated to DC in the summer of 2023 to join the AsylumWorks team. Throughout her career, Nassym has served and advocated for the needs of immigrant families and unaccompanied minors through case management, direct advocacy, and facilitating relevant training. The intersection of social work, advocacy, and human rights continues to be the driving force of her professional career. Nassym speaks Persian and Spanish fluently.
