Ellen Arledge, LICSW

Ellen is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She received her Master’s degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.  She has worked largely in the mental health field, specializing in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Trauma-Informed services. Throughout her time in private practice, Ellen worked with first responders, veterans, sexual abuse survivors, and others managing the impact of trauma on their lives. Ellen conducted psychosocial assessments for asylum seekers and other immigrants to support their applications for documentation. Ellen has also testified in immigration hearings as an expert witness in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She is interested in how the intersection of culture, politics and trauma impacts peoples lives. She believes a large part of her work is educational, which then empowers people to enact the change they want to see in their lives.
