Passionate about fostering inclusive education and career spaces for English language learners, Christie comes to AsylumWorks with over a decade of experience working alongside refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants. She remains drawn to education and employment for the joy of witnessing others share their passions, pursue their interests, and connect to their community as leaders and experts. In addition to this role, Christie is a board member with Maryland TESOL, where she supports adult English language learners. She holds a BA in Global Studies, an MA in International Education Policy, and a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management, all from Maryland universities. She has lived in Spain and Mexico, is proficient in Spanish, and is slowly but eagerly learning Portuguese.
