Tameem Al-Talabani

Tameem Al-Talabani is a humanitarian professional and program manager with over fourteen years of dedicated experience in the development, humanitarian response, and refugee assistance sectors, both in the Middle East and the United States. Tameem has successfully launched and managed various donor-funded programs encompassing education, workforce development, mental health and psychosocial support, and emergency assistance, with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $5,000,000. At Lutheran Social Services, he serves as the Resettlement Director, overseeing refugee resettlement services in Maryland. He has also held significant positions at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the United States Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, providing national oversight, compliance, and facilitating training for vulnerable refugees.
