Nassym oversees and directly provides clinical case management and culturally competent programming for recent arrivals from Afghanistan. Her career is driven by the intersection of social work, advocacy, and human rights. As a Forensic Social Worker, she has over eight years of experience advocating for children, families, and unaccompanied immigrant youth in family court proceedings. She has served and advocated for the needs of immigrant families and unaccompanied minors through case management, direct advocacy, and facilitating relevant training. Nassym holds an MSW from Columbia University. She is fluent in Persian and Spanish.
