Ismail received a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Jahan University. He has worked for 8 years on US-funded projects in Afghanistan. After he was evacuated by the US government, he started working in the social services field in the US. Before joining AsylumWorks, Ismail worked as a Case Aide with LSSNCA. He joined AsylumWorks with several years of professional experience in linguistics, legal aid, project coordination, administration, and finance. He is passionate about serving underserved communities and has volunteered at humanitarian nonprofit organizations back home and in the states. Ismail is looking forward to supporting asylum seekers, parolees, and their families to thrive while they navigate the new culture and systems in the U.S. Ismail is fluent in Pashto, Dari, Arabic, Urdu, and English.
