Hujé is an accomplished development and communications professional who has joined AsylumWorks with a wealth of experience across three continents, working in both the public and private sectors. Hujé has tirelessly built bridges between diverse communities throughout her career, collaborating with government officials, policymakers, and civil society members at all levels, from local to international. She holds an MA in International Relations & Diplomacy from Anglo-American University and a graduate certificate in US Foreign Policy & National Security from American University’s School of International Service, with a research focus on the multidimensional complexities of the Kurdish issue. Fluent in Kurdish (Kurmanji and Sorani), German, and English, Hujé is a skilled communicator who thrives on connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures through art, music, and food. Her open-minded approach to life is reflected in her dedication to building meaningful relationships with people from all walks of life. Her own experiences as an asylum seeker have shaped her commitment to creating welcoming and inclusive environments wherever she goes, and she brings this philosophy to her work at AsylumWorks.
