Ariel Zarate, M.A., LMSW

Training & Technical Assistance Program Manager

Ariel is a licensed master social worker and global mental health specialist working with forcibly displaced persons, survivors of torture and trauma, and other underserved communities. Her work is centered around addressing systemic inequality and improving holistic wellness through community-driven interventions, advocacy and research. Ariel draws from her dynamic experience and the vast expertise of the AsylumWorks team to facilitate training and provide technical assistance for service providers, helpers and advocates working with displaced communities across the United States. Ariel holds an MSW and an MA in International Studies from Josef Korbel School for International Studies at the University of Denver. She is also supporting suicide prevention initiatives in Bangladesh as the Co – Chair of the Suicide Prevention Sub-Group in Cox Bazar, Bangladesh and working to become fluent in French.
