Dear Friends,

Ten years ago, AsylumWorks was founded with $4,000 from a GoFundMe campaign and the knowledge that immigrants who arrive in our region are eager and able to strengthen our shared community. Specialized support helps them do so sooner.

What began as a kitchen table operation has grown into something none of us could have fully imagined back then. We have achieved a lot in the past ten years, but anniversaries also have a way of bringing certain questions into focus.

As this milestone approached, one question kept pulling me: Does the name AsylumWorks fully capture who we serve, the services we provide, and the direction we are headed?

I brought this question to our board. We sat with it, debated it, and ultimately came to the same conclusion: the people we serve are on many different paths, and our name should reflect that. And so today, after months of careful work, I am proud to share with you that AsylumWorks is now becoming Arrived.

Arrived. It is a word that belongs to the people we serve. It honors the courage it took to get here. It holds space for everything yet to be achieved. And it speaks to something we have always known: that arriving somewhere new is not the end of a journey. It is the beginning of a different one.

To be clear: Our name may be changing, but our approach, our team, and our commitment are not. We remain the same organization our clients, donors, and partners have come to know and trust.

In the coming weeks, you’ll continue to hear from us as we move through this transition. And in the months ahead, you’ll begin to see our new name reflected across our communications, website, and programs. I hope you’ll feel, as we do, that it captures both the work behind us and the road ahead.
